He studied industrial design at the Royal Dutch Academy at The Hague from 1952 to 1954 and from 1954 to 1959, he studied industrial design at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Ulm, Germany.
Hiroko Takeda studied design until 1967 at the Academy of Tokyo. From 1968 till 1972, she collaborated with different Japanese industries in the field of furniture and interior design.
As a young boy he studied drawing at the Bremer Knaben Zeichenschule before starting as an apprentice in the Silberwarenfabrik Koch& Bergfeld.
Tapio (Veli Ilmari) Wirkkala Tapio Wirkkala completed his training as a decorative sculptor in 1936 at the Central school of Arts and Crafts in Helsinki.
Encouraged by his father, Russel Wright started as a law student at Princeton University. After his first year he spend the summer in the art colony in Woodstock N.Y.
