Jens Quistgaard Flip Top Desk for Løvig in Rosewood, Denmark 1966
Løvig Flip Top Desk in Rosewood
An elegant and sleek and innovative desk with a flip-top by Peter Løvig Nielsen, Denmark, 1966. The desk is also attributed to Jens Quistgaard for Løvig. Beautiful and functional design. Made of solid rosewood wood and rosewood veneer with a gorgeous wood grain, finished with brass hinges. The desk features a stepped-up top for a single workspace for one. The top is hinged and flips down to expand the work surface to accommodate a two-person workspace in a partner desk style. When the top has been put down, it adds 23 cm in depth for more work space or, in smaller apartments, it could also be used as a dining table. The piece has been professionally restored and protected with a UV and water protective lacquer and is in excellent condition. Marked underneath with manufacturers stamp and dated 1966.
