Sonja Wasseur Grasshopper lounge chair
Exceptional and architectural lounge chair designed by Sonja Wasseur, the Netherlands ca. 1970. In the early 1970's Sonja Wasseur had her atelier in Amsterdam.
Her inventive furniture design was manufactured in her own atelier for a short period of time. Her occasional brutalist lounge chairs were only produced in small editions. The distinctive chair designs of Sonja Wasseur are authentic and are not comparable with any other designs from this period. Her handwriting is unmistakable visible in all of her work. This very rare Grasshopper lounge chair is her best and most uncommon and remarkable chair. An object of art that is beautiful from all sides. The chair has a low sling seat and an ajustable back and cushion with contra weight. The lounge chair has four different reclining positions that can be adjusted by the user. The chair is in good vintage and original condition.
