Johnson Wax Chair, Frank Lloyd Wright, Cassina
Johnson Wax Chair, designed 1938-39 by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Johnson Wax headquarters in Milwaukee. The chair was originally produced exclusively for Johnson Wax, none of these was ever sold. Later, Cassina brought out a re-edition. The chair on offer comes from this re-edition and was produced in the 1990s.
The chair is made of red-painted tubular steel. The seat and the reclining backrest are upholstered in creamy white fabric. The armrests are made of varnished beech wood.
The chair is in good condition with little patina.
