Bag in Box

I am one of those people who can't easily deprive themselves of the 'plop' when the cork pops out of the wine bottle. It is, for me, the first step before the pleasure of tasting the wine. The opening of the bottle is part of a ritual that I highly estimate.

But for those who don't attach so much importance to these details, I find this "bag in box" designed by Berliner designers Markus Hayn and Tobias Willemeit for Hauswein.de rather clever: simple and elegant, with a sensible packaging for transport and storage.

This product received an IF communication design award.

This is not a new invention, we have had them in Australia for decades,
unless I am miossing something?

I gladly agree with Heath, in Canada these boxes have been around for the last 30 years. The graphics are nice though, it makes it look as if wine was produced by the pharmaceutical industry...and there to I have to agree: two spoons, three times a day...

most of the wine that comes out of those boxes TASTES like it
came from a pharmy factory, but I still don't see how it can have won
even a comminucation award, the graphics may be clean and tidy
and they commuinicate very precisely however they don't give any
idea of where the wine comes from, wine is one thing that can give
regionalism a real boost.

I like the simplicity of the red and yellow as an indicator,
that makes sense to me but seeing as the box can conveniently
be stacked up, down left or right wouldn't it have made sense
to print the text on each side of the white area?

Hey boys!, you are really great both!

,,,,,it makes it look as if wine was produced by the pharmaceutical industry...and there to I have to agree: two spoons, three times a day,,,,,,And that's usefull for the really good and the really bad wine!

,,,,, how it can have won even a comminucation award,,,,, also true, but that,s for a looong thread, awards and real life, it won it because it,s PRETTY, or even worse, thanks to a complex theoretical approval from the jury that avoids common sense.
