Metaphys’ Hono Light

Hono light from Japanese company Metaphys is a sophisticated lamp which works on the principle of a candle.

The Hono light doesn’t rely on any switch to illuminate itself. A gentle touch by a magnetic match is enough to ignite the lamp. Furthermore, you can turn it off just by blowing on it. It features a soft LED light source which even flickers like a real candle. The cable-less lamp is powered by a rechargeable battery. Designed by Chiaki Murata.

The lamp was on show at 100% Design Tokyo.

Last week I went to Biel, the lighting fair (Organized by Messe Frankfurt).
And I saw that bulb. I think it,s available in Japan. It will not available here until next year.
So I liked the design, but the bulb is 90% of the design.
Anyway I like the design itself, and someone have to be the first to have the idea.
