
This is a concept of an extension cord designed by Wilson Song, seen on Yanko Design's blog whith the question: "If a device is plugged into one output, doesn’t that prevent power from reaching the other outputs?" What is your opinion?

I am sure that this is not a matter of opinion but about fact. In the north-american (and british?) system, where the two contacts of the plug are made different, the two poles can not be exchanged. In the illustrated case that shows the continental European plug a short circuit would be inevitable.
