At that time, though, I thought Saarinen's Tulip furniture was something you could only get used ("vintage"), and I saw them so infrequently, and they were expensive, at least, for me at that time. Last year, a friend who knew I liked mid-century asked me to help her find things for her new apartment in NY, and I found out just how much is available now thanks to the internet. I had no idea.
