I don't think you'd pay 8000.00 for an old one, Barry. Maybe six at the most for a mint one -- more likely four or five. I've seen these Sonnemans. I had high hopes, too, but those proportions do look rather off. Kinda squat. These are great lamps. I have an Italian made Trienalle form 68 or 69, but it isn't Arteluce. It's chrome with gray black and white shades and Wenge or Mahogany finials. It was maybe 900 USD. Very useful lamp. I'd go for Daniel Donnelly's reproduction. Miles closer in spirit to the originals.
