Saturday-morning estate sale. Sleek Scandinavian-looking 7-foot sofa in the garage, heaped with cartons of old Christmas decorations. Very simple, crisp, low slung, Florence Knoll kind of lines, black leather, loose cushions. Straight legs, apparently teak, levitate it neatly off the floor. House and contents c. early 1960s. Sofa: $25.00. Silver sticker on base reads: Bara en Kvalitat Den Mistra [logo in red letters: "Fre"] Industri Antiebolag Skillingaryd Made in Sweden Tag stapled to bottom fabric says: Winston Palisade Base Anyone have a clue about date or origin? Thanks.
