	title of this thread your message I prefer to use chair without the ottoman. Esthetically I can not decide, sometimes I leave them together and other times I find other uses for the stool. I find that the arm position is not comfortable for long sessions; although, my wife who is a bit shorter, fits perfectly, and says that it is her favorite chair. I am pleased to have a Grasshopper chair and can?t imagine the house without it. Having said that, I seem to have a preference or at least a visual bias for modern furniture that utilizes wood. If you are ordering from Modernica they can make the stool at a later date and the only increased cost to you would be the additional shipping. You might consider requesting fabric samples.
