Great thread! My favorite lamp was also my first post here, as my "best find" or "best deal" or whatever the title of that thread is. It is a custom piece made for the cosmetic department of a Thalhimer's Department Store in Memphis, in the late 1940s. The old store had dozens of them throughout cosmetics. When it went out of business in the late 80s, the lamps were mostly snatched up and pilfered by the employees. They occasionally pop-up at vintage shops. The going price was about $2000-$2500. I found mine in the "junk room" of an antique store that specialized in Victorian and Southern Antebellum pieces. They had no idea what it was. I knew exactly what it was. I paid either $10 or $20 for it. That was almost 20 years ago.
I own two 1940s Deco lamps from FrankArt:
I have a first generation Tizio in standard black. A bit over-exposed, but it's a classic.
On my bed-side table I have a silver with red, Luceplan Berenice.
I eventually plan to get a wall mounted Tolomeo for my home-office, desk area.
