My girlfriend gave me a good laugh yesterday. Until that time, I had never heard anyone dismiss a Bouroullec design so cruelly. We are moving into a new house, so like any other couple we've been daydreaming about where our stuff will go and what else we will get. I had made what I thought to be a good suggestion for over a large open space above the kitchen island that separates it from the dining room. I suggested that we use the Bouroullec algue as a screen. And actually it's a wonderful idea. Aside from this, what made it funny is that my gf actually has good taste. She just happened to make an observation that I had missed. She said the algue looked like we need to open up a catfish restaurant and put fake starfish in it. We went on saying maybe an oar with an upside down lifeboat by it or a swordfish. For some reason I got really amused by this. The idea of Bouroullec meets catfish redneck restaurant. I am sure they would hate to know that this is the images their designs could conjur up for someone!
