Yes indeed, the suspended arm, but these chairs take it to a whole new level! The armrest, wich seems to be thin planks of wood are flat-on fixed to the upholstery. They start this way on the front of the chair and take of to the back, going upwards and releasing themselves from the upholstery (sorry for my poor english, my explanation must sound almost biblical sometimes..). The upholstery leaves almost a gap, very strange.. Alas, it's not the swivel chair whitespike :( If I can't take a picture i'll do a detailled drawing of the armrests. The tables are really more like this FinnJuhl, less complex than the floating tops by Risom:
