If you really want the keyboard tray I don't think a couple of screw holes would do much damage to the desk. Just make sure you don't pop out the top! The only reason I didnt get it was monetary. Instead I found a Offi Wave desk on Craigslist for $100. (pretty, but wobbly as hell) Oh, and definitely get it in primary colors.
