So I recently got a vintage Risom Armchair for $300 off CL. I talked the lady down from $450. It had the original owner it's entire life, and was bought in 1953...along with everything else at the owners estate. It's color is not the most attractive (yellow orange), and it all kind of blends together with the wood. The webbing on the chair is in worse condition than i had thought from the photos, but I still wanted it. What's your take on replacing the webbing? Am I taking away from the value? Is this chair worth anything to begin with (aside from it being a Risom chair)? I'm thinking of rewebbing it myself with a Knoll kit for $80 in flax... Whats your take?
