I have found other elasticated webbing works OK but does not have the tension of pirrelli while being flexible. The critical issue with pirelli is the taughtness it is pulled to before fitting to the frame. There is hemp webbing but then the construction of the seat over it is different and it is not elasticated so must be fitted loose and built up with foam padding.
