	title of this thread your message I remember Urban Outfitters in Cambridge in the early 80s. I also remember the Gap when all they sold were jeans and plaid flannel shirts! The cotton canvas seat covers from Circa50 don't stretch over time. I think it has to do with the weight of the fabric. Canvas comes in several weights and the lighter ones wouldn't work as seat covers.
