Is this Eames table real?
I just found this Eames table listed close to where I live. It has a Herman Miller sticker on the bottom but I'm not sure if it's real.
Can someone explain to me what this is? Is it a newer Herman Miller? Any help would be appreciated.

the wheeled version of this table yesterday for $10. Just couldn't pull the trigger. Thought about taking off the top and putting something interesting on top...

Really?
I'm worried because I havn't similar markings on the bottoms of any of the other tables I've seen. Is there a time when they marked the bottom with that sticker and a marker?

they are quite common. though I prefer the base polished to the grey powdercoat..

Yes, really.
Herman Miller has been marking their products with stickers since at least the 1940s, and they used the logo that's on your table between 1960 and 1999. It's not at all unusual to see model numbers or other identifiers scrawled on the underside of their pieces.

Its a cunning illusion...you can strip the powdercoat off with gasket cleaner and a wire brush, use gloves, goggles and a long sleeved shirt, brush AWAY from you. hand polish the base with wet and dry paper and then aluminium polish, isn't that hard.
I cut the stem down on a universal base and have just kept the same top as yours for now, looks better as a coffee table...you could pull off the edge and get new formica put on the underside, get it cut down to a very slightly smaller radius and get the same or a black edge put on.

Glides??
I have one of these that is missing 2 glides? Anyone know of where to find replacements or what might work in its place? Thanks!
