Pier One is
a retailer of inexpensive imported wares.

No, your lamps have nothing to do with FLLW.

amongst other things
your lamps have not the right age to be
designed by FLW.
the left maybe a lighting project from a design
student in the eighties or so?
if you like these, good for you, but there isn't much
design value in these (brand or designerwise, rarity)

I knew a guy in high school who's nickname was spacepirate. At first he went by buttpirate, but he was not that picky and would pirate any space, so his name was changed.

If this is you, what's up Les?

Could be
that spacepirate actually designed these Pier 1 lamps and he is rapidly trying to backtrack.

Just a thought.

Spacepirate, are you actually Spacepirate Wong when you're at home with your feet up on the hassock?

All kidding aside, hjw.
Your lamps look to be common decorative examples typical of those made in Japan for the export market at that time. The quality is likely quite good compared to what one might find in places like Pier 1 today.

As for value or collectibilty, I doubt they offer much. At least not in the MCM market. If you enjoy them, though, there is certainly nothing wrong with that!

Please accept my apology for being rude at your expense. It really was not sporting of me at all and shouldn't reflect the nature or intent of this forum.

Well, thank you, Daniel.
It really was the only acceptable thing to do in this case.

But, you see, I'll never be ahead of the curve. In real life, I married a Miss Wright. Which, until death do us part, makes me Mr. Wong.
