should I
I don't like starting threads, but this is a toughie.

I have the opportunity to buy an Arne Vodder for Sibast L desk for about $1400 (might be able to haggle a wee). That is alot for me, but it's just so weird to see one nearby and available. It is WAY nicer than my current desk but not sure I can justify the cost enough to keep it.

I guess the question is
do you have the space for it?

If it works in the place you want to put it in, then go for it. Good luck, let us know how you get on.

whew
someone else is going to buy it and in a way I am really relieved. It would have been a tight fit. Usually I would be somewhat upset....hope the person who gets it loves it! Great piece.

Fit
I owned a lovely desk that was an inch or so too big to fit through doorways. The legs couldn't be removed. Every time I moved I had to take into consideration whether or not the desk would fit through doorways. Even if it fit through the front door, there was no guarantee it would fit through inner doors. I was actually relieved to get rid of it because of this.

I think you made the right choice, Waffle.
