Help identifying this unusual laminate chair
Hi - Just wondering if anyone recognizes the designer of this laminate chair. I purchased it at a local estate sale. The daughter of the previous owner said that her father loved to purchase unusual designs and that he had brought this home sometime in the 1970's. It was supposed to be provide ergonomically correct support for the spin. She also said that she had recently seen a photograph of the chair in an 'Architectural Digest' magazine...but whether it was a new issue or back issue, I have no idea.
I'm usually pretty good with the google searches, but have so far had no luck finding anything even similar!
Any suggestions at all would be much appreciated...thanks!

...believe it or not...
Yes...and surprisingly comfortable (not as in hunkering in to watch a movie with a bowl of popcorn but in the fact that you don't feel like you're going to slide completely off!)
