Who designed this Danish furniture from 1961? Part One
In 1961 when I was ten years old, my parents and I spent several weeks in Copenhagen looking at furniture at Den Permanente, Illums Bolighus, and Hos Wulff. They ended up purchasing a household's worth of furniture which I've inherited. I have the original bill of sale and can tell you that a huge Kai Kristiansen desk cost 725 Danish kroner in April 1961. However, the designers are not mentioned on the receipt. In addition to Kristiansen, I've identified pieces by Hans Wegner, Svend Langkilde, Severin Hansen, Jr., Frank Reenskaug, and Ib Fabiansen. But I haven't been able to figure out who designed the couch, secretary, the arm chairs, the coffee table (manufactured by Dux),the nested tables, or the tea cart. I'm attaching photos here of the couch, secretary, and arm chairs and will post photos of the others on another message. I'm putting a link to a Flickr slide show of all the mystery furniture below (hope it works). Thanks to anyone who can help me identify any of these pieces!

Probably not that chair
Thanks - I keep thinking the chairs are a variation on the Ib Kofod-Larsen Elisabeth chair - but the side wood strut is lower and the front strut goes right into the seat of the chair. So it's not the same. I've found images of my chairs on the web, but without any mention of the designer, alas.

I continue to be astonished by my parents' choices. They left me a complete set of Raymond Loewy Form 2000 white Rosenthal china and Georg Jensen stainless steel flatware in the elegant Tanaquil pattern by Magnus Stephensen.

Thank you!
I'm delighted to know at long last who was responsible for this lovely design. The back is also beautiful - but my space is too small to display it as my parents did.

I really like the quality of the light and golden color in the older looking photos (the ones that appear flatbed scanned). Were they ones that were taken many years back? Thanks for sharing.

I have to think that the armchair is a Kofod-Larsen design, even though it is not one that I am sure I have seen before.

Late afternoon light
in the autumn of 1999. I was documenting all the furniture before the movers packed it up. Now the photos exude a certain nostalgic glow.

Kofod-Larsen knock-off?
Might the chairs be by someone trying to imitate Kofod-Larsen? I'll check the bottom of the seat and the legs to see if there are any clues. Can't believe I haven't checked before!

The arm of your chair...
The arm of your chair reminds me most of the shape of the arm of the Elisabeth Chair. I would be surprised if there were anything knock-offy about them, especially if they were purchased at one of those retailers in Denmark. Kofod-Larsen did quite a few different frame configurations.

Found on the web
A few years ago I found the following photos of the same chair as mine - but there was no indication of the designer. These are very, very comfortable, by the way. The orange upholstery on mine is the original from 51 years ago!
