Barcelona question
I haven't been able to check the chair out in person yet but hoping one or more of you may be able to provide some advice. I know that finding the signature on the leg will answer the question likely but has anyone ever seen cushions with the knoll insignia cross the bottom like this. I would expect a newer production chair to have the standard square manufacturer label attached to he undersurface.

Spoke to
A rep at Knoll and sent the pic of the underside of the cushion and they said they do send out cushions like that not that. I went to see the chair. No signature on the leg which makes my life difficult as I have no idea what to look for on an older chair but there is a fairly obvious weld wear the back and seat merge. It was fairly smooth to the touch but not pretty. I imagine even the older chairs wouldn't have this. Is that correct? Had to use the flash to take the pic.

I'd pass on this chair, modster.
The weld looks to be damage repair. Not a very good repair, either.

ps the earlier chairs had no Knoll, or Meis stamp in the frames. I can't really tell if this chair is Knoll, or not. It certainly appears to be... in that the cushions look correct, but the straps look sloppy.

just a thought.
