Help with DSR please,
I am the proud father of my very first DSR...unfortunately she has a little blemish...I knew this as I only paid $90- for her but with a little help from my friends this can be rectified...it has a nasty knick 0.5 cm long on the edge... Do I use a spoonfull of glue ? or is there a better solution ? any Ideas appreciated..Also any clues to the age ?
cheers
Jim

It appears your chair has had a few coats of paint.
Were you considering trying to do a restoration, or just stabilize the damage?

Thanks Tktoo
for your reply...yes..yes your eagle eye has spotted the repainted chair..it appears that a hip...up market design shop in Amsterdam does this "as the norm" because the price of bright ordinary orange chairs is not so high as the many techni-coloured raincoat rainbow colours...this chair retails at +- $400- maybe the paint or the paint fumes made the last owners want to sell it..
The repaint doesn't bother me that much...as $90 is neither here nor there...not that "el cheapo rules" but you get what you pay for and this is just that a chair to sit on...but...
I don't want the damage to spread..I want the chair to be here for christmas future..so I am looking for something to stop the damage..if possible..
cheers
Jim

However, you may need to request paint for the color match. Blessings

or leave the chip as-is...
and replicate a Saul Steinberg drawing onto the chair, using the chip as a broken fingernail...or whatever.

Very nice chair, sport.
