Dondolo Rocker
I have what I believe is an original Dondolo rocker (with cloth webbing) in good shape from the 1950s and I am wondering what the identifying marks were so I can authenticate it. The chair has a burn mark on the underside which says, in part, ITALY. Also, any sense of value?

Hello JR. I assume we're talking about Verner Panton's Dondolo chair designed for Ycami Edizioni (Italy) in 1994? I've never heard about this chair with cloth webbing. Could you provide a picture, perhaps?

I love this chair, but sorry I have never seen a real one. Enjoy yours whether you're certain of its authenticity or not. It sounds very nice.
I just bought a Dondolo chair by Luigi Crassevig and mine also has a mark that says Crassevig (although only the bottom half) and underneath Made in Italy,

I wouldn't be of much help anyway as I've never seen a vintage Dondolo in person. I would guess you've an authentic piece on your hands if the quality is up to snuff. Lovely chair.
