Eureka!!! Tilt-a-Bowl needed a handle...
I have, frankly, been obsessed with Koen's Tilt-a-Bowls, since he brought them to our attention in a discussion about forensic analysis of products that failed in the market place.
I own bowls with no handles.
I own some Dansk mixing bowls made of melamine. Each one has a vertical handle on the side opposite the pouring spout.
I massively prefer the mixing bowls with handles.
In fact, I don't use the bowls without handles any more at all.
While mixing my son's pancake batter last weekend, I was struck by a lightening bolt of insight, the likes of which I rarely experience.
I would really like a bowl that tilts on a beveled side, if it had a handle like my Dansk mixing bowls.
Anyone for an IPO for Koen's Tilt-a-bowls reincarnated with handles?
This dog will hunt.

I don't think, frankly,
I know what these bowls are.
Can you post a pix?

I can't find the thread with the images in DA...
and I can't Google them either.
Maybe the estimable Mr. de Winter will post a link to an image.
Search engines! They're still in the Dark Ages.

A conventional handle is such an empowering thing to a person...
I strongly believe that a handle would be even more important on a product that asks persons to see the bowl in a new way.
Also, it orients the person to the object. People need a lot of help with orienting to objects, as we are learning in graphic user interfaces in computing.
