I like these tables, I think.

Can anyone describe what "glass grind" steel looks like ?

it's
like powder coating, but imagine the powder is more gritty.
It creates a matte effect, slightly rough to the touch.

I've seen something called "bead-blasted" (stainless ?) steel -- used on outdoor railings. A gray matte look. . .

I mean the textural quality of powdercoating, don't think it's a coating, more of a treatment.

I haven?t had stainless but...
I haven't had stainless but I have had aluminium bead blasted in the past and it does give a matte / satin finish the beads are actually very small glass beads, it is the same process as any media blasting really,

I'm currently turning some wooden bowls at the moment and I am thinking about having them blasted, something quite soft like walnut shell grit might give an interesting finish
