WHC, I love how you have your art framed in deep boxes, it looks great.
On a more expensive note, I'd love a Serge Mouille lamp too, or a Ruspa lamp would be perfect as well :o) -but currently I am listening to my new The xx CD with a glass of rosé = affordable & very enjoyable as well !
Take care, everyone with snow piling up- I had a friend falling nasty last time the roads were too smooth over here.

Fun for the kids and husband
I'm sure this isn't the wish list you meant, but we want these sold-out New Super Mario Bros. decals. DH and I want them for our kids' playroom, which is an oversized, second-floor landing.
I want to paint the bottom of the room green and add some mystery boxes, vines and clouds. The second room can be seen here: http://www.geekologie.com/2008/07/super_mario_landscape_art_inst.php
I'm not sure who will like it more, my kids or husband.
BTW, it's a lovely, sunny winter day in Michigan.

rockland/jesgord, what is that?
william, I really like your salvation army lamp. And that artwork in the mirror looks interesting. What is it?
ite, love that lamp! Had not heard The xx before. Are you enjoying the wine in your new sofa?

Gustaf--
I think you're referring to my homemade-reproduction Yaacov Agam "kinetic" painting. Made it out of a found-frame and some triangular strips of lumber, about ten years ago.
(Since I can rarely afford anything on my wish list, I'm forced to make due with Salvation Army cast-offs or homemade, as you can see.)

yes, that is it Jesse, sorry. (my folks, in their 80's, are one the coast and
deep in snow, power iffy) He pulled out the old kerosene from the shed!
from the 70's...yikes.
Spending the day getting some old pals over there...
WHC has some nice artwork.
The Nakashima is similar to the one that was in our house when we did the
first walk-through. It was wall mounted, 6+ ft. We did not get a bit of the storm
today...prepped for it and i have a new computer to spend a stormy day going
through old photo files. Found photos of our house the day we first saw it.
Hence the longing for the sideboard that the OPO's
took with them...(it was damaged in transport to their retirement home).
It was a custom piece and i see the notch in the wall where it once was.
It takes a stormy day to wish it was still here. That's all....

jesgord, thanks. Love those joints. It's an impressive piece. I first thought those sliding doors were hiding speakers or some sort of electronics.
William, mighty good job! I hadn't seen Yaacov Agam's work before, but your piece seems like it could pass for the real thing.

Und, so, Herr Cotting,
if you are a DA as well, kudos to you for your fabulous house. The view out back doesn't suck, either. I think I took 116 pictures yesterday of the Matterhorn!

Hi Gustaf, nope, I have not...
Hi Gustaf, nope, I have not found the sofa yet. However, it's not that bad, it's a big purchase so I am taking my time. I don't want to end up with something I'll regret buying pretty quickly. Visually I still love yours best :o) I think you will be known as the DA man with the best looking sofa from now on :oD -you may singlehandedly be responsible for a rising interest for Norway says sofas. It might be problematic if I keep liking that sofa best, as there are still no retailers to buy it from in Belgium. I did find a Leolux sofa that's crazy comfortable for me, yet it's not as elegant looking. It's okay though. For the moment that's number one on my list.
...however, I am going to second woody, the first xx album really is an excellent buy !

Too many to count,
but I'd really like to have a wall mounted credenza. This Nelson would do rather nicely...

The sofa is Finn Juhl
Made by Baker in the 50s, recently reintroduced, but still wildly expensive. Vintage examples are as rare as hen's teeth. I saw that one on eBay bustown, it made me very sad. It needed a good home.... like mine.

Whats worse, if my memory doesn't require correcting, one was sold by a fashion boutique on ebay several years ago. Low teens I think..fug!
edit: I was refering to the Finn Juhl sofa, not the Giacometti sculpture below.
