Remove scratches from Lucite table
Found a great lucite coffee table at an antique store for $35. It needs help. The table consists of the following:
Lucite blocks that use very, very long "screws" (12" - 16") to radiate from a single aluminum block. The lucite blocks start at the center with the aluminum block and radiate out along the screws and have an end cap that consists of a nut and metal cover. Glass top. Piece looks to be 60's 70's.
So, it needs some love.
Screws were rusted in some spots, which slightly discolored the lucite. A good hot water and soap wash seemed to do the trick. I am going to find new "screws" that don't have rust to replace the old ones. aluminum block just needed cleaning.
Lucite is okay, given the age. But I want to try to remove some of the minor lucite scratches. Any ideas?

okay, this stuff rocks! The table came out awesome looking! It is amazing what 3 hours worth of work means to a table! From a $30 dollar table to a $200 dollar table with the help of an elbow and novus!
Novus
Interesting! I've just bought some of this stuff to clean up some Lucite chairs that have scuffs and scratches. I ended up buying the novus 1 2 and 3. Do you have any tips for using it?
