Series 7 mystery
Hi all,

Thank you for welcoming me to your forum!

My first post will be a few questions about these series 7 chairs I've had for some time. It seems like they have been "modified" in that they look like the armchair variant but with the arms simply cut off? Another thing about them that puzzles me is that the steel plate underneath has a diagonal rod that I haven't seen on other series 7 chairs. The Fritz hansen sticker says "1166" - is that the manufacturing date?

Maybe someone here could enlighten me?

Auditorium chair
Hi there

the chair has been part of a long row of chair which is why you have the rod.
The rod is what connects the chairs together. With the arms having been removed it may be that you have a franken chair that has been crudely put together by some ignoramus trying to make the best of a bad buy.

Sorry for my blunt and personal oppinion but I have never seen FH supply an auditorium chair with arms and therefore comes to mind the "franken chair"

contact manufacturer
My answer is always the same, contact the manufacturer with your question. Who better to answer your questions without second guessing and opinions.
