I'll post my second question straight away. I am closing in on a Florence Knoll "lounge" 3 seater (fabric, not leather) in very good used condition but have failed to find any good indications on what these usually go for. Does anyone here have an idea?
The model I am referring to: http://www.dwr.com/product/living/view-all/florence-knoll-sofa.do?sortby=ourPicks
I suppose its only worth...
I suppose its only worth what you are willing to pay for it, why dont you tell us how much its going for then we could say if its a good deal or not?
No I'm not expecting it to...
No I'm not expecting it to be an amazing bargain, I mean a perect new one should set me back around 7000EUR. But I reckon by your reactions it's a reasonable price? Still haven't found any past auction results though..
They did not make just one
A dealer who assited me in building a collection once told me "they rarely made just one" and that if I did not get what I desired the first time to wait for the next one.
That being said, I would not pay anything more than twenty five cents on the dollar for a unit in very good condition. During these economic times (and all others) cash is king.
Always start low as it is possible to go up, but it is very difficult to go down. They crank these out like gumballs.
Very valid points
Thank you for your input. Very valid points there, although I reckon it is further between them here in northern Europe than in the states. Would actually prefer to find one in worse condition upholstery-wise though as the mrs would probably like to have this done regardless..
