Industrial Design graduate from the Academy of Arts College in San Francisco, California, Rodrigo Canedo has worked for several companies and studios such as Infinity Systems, TCTF and Mormedi until in 2006 when he decided to establish on his own and opened his studio in Madrid.

His work portfolio includes toys, consumer electronics, furniture, lighting, and transportation. Offering design services for individuals and companies developing projects, from the conceptual stage all the way to final production.

The Gladiat8r concept is inspired by the gladiator helmets of the ancient Roman Empire. It combines raw design aesthetics with state of the art technology. Its structure is flexible; it deforms in case of an impact and returns to its original shape afterwards. The helmet-like frame ensures a perfect fit; it's weight is distributed through the whole surface of the head, this not only ensures that the shades will remain in its place during use but it will also reduce friction in the usual supporting areas such as nose-bridge and ears.
The frame comes in 3 different sizes and it is adjustable through a range of rubber attachments that brace the ribs of the frame. Nowadays, products designed for an specific field/niche, merge to mainstream with the urban culture, the gladi8r concept was designed with this idea in mind, users could range from the avid sports person that uses them as an efficient training accessory to the common urban person that has them just because he/she finds them cool.
