wood
The back of the tatami chair is formed of a piece of pre-compressed ash. The pre-compressed process allows the wood to bend in several planes when it is wet. When the formed back has been dried, the wood regains its original strength. The shaped ash back provides good, resilient back support. The inspiration to the sculptural back of the tatami chair derives from the beautiful kimonos worn by Japanese women, particularly the design which includes the "obi", the sash that is wound and tied round the waist.

Time for reflection. Walk about. Look around. A picture here, a sculpture there. Peace of mind. Sit down. There is a stool standing there, tempting and vacant. Creating its own space in the room without forcing itself on you. Transformation: Ten layers of plywood cut out in a 53 cm x 125 cm rectangle and stressed to the limit of the capacity of the material. No front nor a back and you can even sit astride it. Freedom. Several stools can be linked to make a row. Then you can invite your friends, too.

Height: 43 cm
A stool that visually borrows from the stamen of a flower. Created with the behind in mind, so to speak, but also for the visual impact! Taking a break from all that is serious and commercial.
37 staves driven into a circuler foot, each equipped with a turned knob, create a convex seat at a height of 43 cm, a stool that slightly rocks.

cardboard & paper
The screen "Viper" consists of a number of oval cardboard tubes which are connected and able to take on a lot of different shapes. It is moveable and very handy in offices, banks, exhibitions etc. The material cardboard is very honest and environmentally compatible, and therefore, I find it very suitable to work with. Also the top and bottom mountings on the screen is quite special and suit the cardboard very well.
