Fornasetti studied at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and at the Scuola Superiore d'Arti Applicate all'Industria" of Milan. In 1933, he took part to the Milan Triennale, with a series of printed silk scarves and in 1940, during the VII Triennale, he met Gio Ponti whith whom he collaborated. In 1970, Fornasetti opened his own shop in Milan to edit his very personal silk-screen printed designs.
