1978 New York
Born in New York and raised in Chicago, Pracilio's family and surroundings have instilled art as a part of his life from the very beginning. Feeling the desire to not necessarily find a path, but to forge his own from life lessons and experiences, Pracilio traveled throughout America, settling in Colorado. Believing that the natural surroundings would further inspire the ability to create, Pracilio worked with every artistic medium that fell in front of him, such as paint, pre-cast concrete, glassblowing and sculpture. After realizing that he was creating some of the most progressive form development and design of pre-cast concrete without any formal design background. Pracilio decided to return to his hometown of NYC, to advance his successes and further cultivate his natural talents and ideas by attending The Pratt Institute and refining his abilities in the Industrial Design department. While at Pratt, Pracilio became a leading member and top student within the Design Department, heading a Creative Trio that would go on to win the 2006 Umbra Design Award for their designs; The Splat and Citro-one juicer. After emotionally and technically expanding, the next step was evident. It was time to focus on a broader scale, becoming assessable to people and their needs. It was time to focus on life and design. With influences on furniture, fine art, interiors, film production, product design and lighting. Pracilio has worked with such firms as Make Product Development, Cake LLC. And Mark Goetz Furniture design. To fuse art with design, and necessity. designGO! was launched by Peter Pracilio in early 2007.

Peter Pracilio is forever changing the way we look at crating our dogs, by mindfully redesigning the dog crate. The 'eiCrate' will be able to appeal to the buyer as a permanent piece of furniture in the home, handmade and intended to last as long as our pets, if not longer. The 'no corners' approach has eliminated the hostile jail-like feel of other dog crate out there and it allows for the natural movements of our dogs. The 'eiCrate' compliments any home, adding elegance, a sculptural quality, and sense of creativity.
