The development of a new Ava padlock was initiated as competition grew and cheap imports increased. The product needed to stand out. As new technical innovations are expensive, the renewal was done with materials. Plastic cover felt warm and it could be coloured. Simple details that helped the usability could also be realised in it. Such details were the groove that directs the key into the lock and the hole for hanging the lock. Difficult work phases were eliminated and the lock was renewed without decreasing its strength.
