Founded in 1999

Melia was founded in 1999 by John-Paul Melia and Lucy Tatam, combining their interests in modern design & furniture, with a desire to create pieces of true craftsmanship. John-Paul was apprentice-trained as a joiner & cabinet-maker from 1988-91. He now uses his considerable knowledge and skill to create beautiful, sculptural furniture, finished to exceptionally high standards.
