Lorenz is an Italian watch company which is revered for its blend of high-end technology and aesthetic designs. The company was established in 1934 by Tullio Bolleta in via del Gesu in Milan. Four years later the Lorenz watches enterprise shifted to Milan's via Monte napoleon and commenced as a marketing company of multitudes of Swiss made creations. Here, even today, stands the company's flagship store.
In 1939 the company's first own product appeared TI-BI, a cleanser of residual oil from jewels or mechanical components in timepiece movements. After more than 20 years, in 1960 Lorenz for its table clock became the proud winner of the 'Compasso d'Oro' award. But although the Lorenz watches brand began its journey in developing its own products, it did not quit its primary business- marketing other brand's products. It commenced distributing Casio timepieces in Italy in 1976 and till now it remains the company's distributor.
But ultimately Lorenz took the plunge in producing table clocks, wall clocks and of course wrist watches in the middle of 1980s. Taking in Nathalie du Pasquier and George J. Sowden as collaborators, Lorenz fabricated the clocks and watches and called it 'Neos'. The novel line named 'Neos' was well received by the critics and collectors alike.
Its further expansion in other fields of affairs made Lorenz win the title of 'Historic Company of the City of Milan'.
