Founded in 2004
Maybedesign, with two branches Vienna and Istanbul, is an interdisciplinary art practice encompassing, architecture, industrial design, graphic design and engineering. The name 'maybe' emphasizes the fact that the company's design philosophy cannot be categorized to a certain discipline. It is a name that reflects the blurred boundaries from areas of Arts through Engineering. maybedesign has been primarily a design consultancy from luxury items to everyday mass-produced goods, working for several leading clients from various industries since 2004 and also creating its own product collection - maybe products.

Looks western, feels oriental.
'Eastmeetswest' is mouthblown by masters in turkey from borasilicat glasses, with raw material from schott-germany. The design is an interpretation of the traditional turkish teaglasses. This traditional tulip form meets with lean geometrical western form. The result is a new teaglass, that feels oriental, and looks european.
Thanks to its double sided walls, 'Eastmeetswest' keeps the content longer hot, without burning your fingers and has a visual effect as if the fluid floats on the air.

Middle eastern head. In less than 100 years popular middle eastern hat typology changed from traditional fess into the american baseball cap. Being a combination of both, 'Fesscap' is trying to be the complete hat of the century.

Low seating/seating on carpet rituals from eastern cultures are design references for 'Grand Bazaar' sofa. To create a fresh yet traditional looking graphics, typical anatolian Kilim Motives such as 'fertility and protection', 'wolfs mouth', 'rams horn' has been reworked in colour and combinations. The result is 'Grand Bazaar' with its lean and curvy geometry reflecting the magic of a flying carpet.
