Bitossi
ITALY

Founded in 1921

The Guido Bitossi started the company in 1921 with the foundation of Manifattura Cav. Guido Bitossi & Figli.
The most important figure for the success of the company was that of the master Aldo Londi. With his originality and intuitions he marked a characteristic period in the ceramic history. Among the lines he created, we can remember in particular the line Rimini Blu, for which the Ceramica Bitossi is known all over the world.

The ceramics can be seen in the most important shop-windows of the world like at Bloomingdale's, Harrods, Galerie Lafayette, Takashimaya etc.

In 1950 Ettore Sottsass jr. began his work with Bitossi and they have also worked with many other designer like, Zanini, Fornasetti, Du Pasquier, Sowden and Palma & Vannicola.
