Large spotlight for Arnold & Richter, Munich, 1940s/1950s. Originally conceptualised for 5000 watt bulb, converted to 500 watt bulb. Cast aluminium body, black, powder-coated. Additional parts in polished aluminium, brushed and chromed steel. Swivelling, mounted on oak panel, screw-fastened on a Gründerzeit machine base (cast iron, sand-blasted, brushed, waxed). Base on rollers, adjustable. The company Arnold & Richter, Munich, was one of the first companies to produce for film and thater lighting. Dimensions H 180 cm, W 55 cm, D 65 cm. Traces of wear and age.
