An original biomorphic Sling Swinger Chair in tropical Cocobolo rosewood and black leather by the great organic modernist of Mexico.
Don Shoemaker for Senal S.A. Don Shoemaker designed this chair in the early 1960's from Santa Maria de Guido, Morelia, Mexico.
Condition:
Very good Original. With partial Original Lable. Original leather but the bottom has been reattached with a tack strip. Original hardware including the sling brakets with their unmistakable hash marks (I'm not an expert in this artist and I have no idea if the bolts are original or not). One pegs is broken off under foot (see picture) and one is slightly battered but in tact and original.
