Unusual, multi-coloured perspex chess set attributed to Hollis Jones, circa 1970s.
A marvellous, eye-catching set, ideal for play or simply for display: the pieces are made of solid, multi-coloured perspex which change in hue when viewed from different angles. The differences in colour, when choosing to play as 'white' or 'black', are denoted by lines of coloured perspex within the actual pieces.
The board is made of solid, clear perspex with the positions marked in white or clear squares. The board is designed to sit up from the table surface, allowing light to shine through both it and the pieces. A very special, unique set.
Dimensions: Board - Depth: 433mm; Width: 403mm; Height: 28mm | Pieces - Largest, height: 102mm; Smallest, height: 50mm
