Alessio Tasca
Born in 1929 in Nove (Vicenza) in 1945 he joined the Institute of Fine Arts of Venice where he has the advantage of following the course of Arturo Martini, and loving new art movement.
Back home in Nove, he teaches ceramics and founded with his brothers the laboratory "Tasca Artgiani ceramisti." In 1951 he graduated Teaching Art Institute of Florence. In 1951 he took part in the Triennial
Venice. In 1954, he participated in the adventure of "Gruppo 9" whose objective is to renew the art of ceramics. In 1957, he collaborated with IDeal Standard for a small collection of porcelain. In 1959, the brothers Tasca are awarded a price "Palladio prize" in Vicenza for their work on the "green Morelli"
In 1961, Alessio is separated from his brother opened his workshop where he then devoted to sculpture. He then pieces of very large sizes. Always in search of novelties, he traveled throughout Europe to realize the evolution of contemporary art. In the meantime, he continues to receive numerous awards and participated in many exhibitions. It is from the 1970s that the first spheres were executed.
It is now recognized as one of the great masters of ceramics.
