This annual mug would make an ideal and novel birthday gift. Featuring swirling, interlocking patterns and designs in blue on a white background and emblazoned with 1971, this mug is part of the larger series of the famous Fajance range by Royal Copenhagen of Denmark. Designed by Hans Andersen, solidly constructed and generously proportioned, it would also serve well as a purely decorative item and a great example of Scandinavian mid-century pottery.
Its base features a stamped, circular sterling silver attachment, alongside the Royal Copenhagen markings, logos and designer signifiers, making this a first class item.
