Here's probably the greatest design of Polish-born designer Jorge Zalszupin, who immigrated to Brazil in 1949 and acquired nationality a couple years later.
The "Presidencial" easy chair and sofa (also available, up on Design Addict shortly) were designed circa 1964. This very easy chair, entirely restored, is part of the early production as it featured the original paper label with the first L'Atelier logo.
Its structure is made of one piece of plywood veneered with dark, grained jacaranda (Bahia rosewood), which shows Zalszupin's amazing technique.
We have intentionally removed the original cushions and leave it up its new owner to create his own seating - or leave it like it is.
