No makers label as such, however a Danish transport agents label confirming the origin. All the following is up for discussion however our feeling and research have led us to a design by Harry Ostergaard for Randers Mobler, the model 59, designed in 1961. Possibly a variation of model, our chairs show slight differences in structure. There is use of thick moulded beech ply stretchers under the seat as opposed to teak, vinyl seat and the lack of a front crossed-stretcher (which could have been for design purposes as it does create a slightly cleaner front profile). A good case for a strong attribution, this is a well designed chair which regardless moves in the right circles.
The condition is good original. There are little or no problems maybe just one or two nit picky areas to point out, which are in actual fact more what you'd expect from a good vintage piece.
Structure of all chairs sturdy. There is a mild level of knocking in the right areas, bottoms of leg. Good colour graduation of teak. Seats with a few minor scuffs here and there. One minor repaired knock on the back of a splat, which is overlookable and something we feel could have happened at any stage including before it left the factory.
The chairs are in good original vintage condition.
