A rare long park bench, designed around 1958 by Walter Papst for Wilkhahn/Germany, fiberglass reinforced polyester, painted white.
Length 240 cm, height 77 cm, depth 70 cm, height of seat 38 cm.
Walter Papst was one of the first European designers to employ fibreglass in furniture construction. The bench offers a range of seating positions for people of different heights. Papst had this idea of his patented.
An example of this bench has been sold at the auction house Dorotheum in Vienna for 1.400 Euro in 2003.
