Alfred Muller, AMBA: twin bulb accordeon type, multi-positions wall lamp.
Unusual rare model, holding two sockets and a large shade. Fully restored, shade hand sewn with leather cord. New wire, period igniter.
Signed AMBA Basel on the backplate
Alfred Müller, former Bauhaus student and founder of AMBA, Basel-based lighting manufacture, had a late recognition for his high quality work, such as the lamps he designed for BAG Turgi.
This piece is a fine example of his own production.
Switzerland, circa 1938
